First off, you have not been binned as you may have thought from your previous posts.
You have yet to say or do anything that i believe warrants that.
Opposing views are too important, and shouldn't be silenced.
Yours are generally structured and have validity to them, and in the past you would have had many a thumbs up from me.
But i think you missing my point about communication - the last post wasn't about the specifics of OBJs concerns, such why deals haven't been signed, delays, lack of information, etc etc - and the post certainly wasn't targeted at you, nor is this post - very far from it.
It was food for thought at the community level as a whole, where there is ample communication that is hurting everyone - people like both you and me.
Sure the SP fall is due to many factors, and communication alone certainly isn't the sole reason the SP is where it is -
BUT it does play a mutual inclusive and significant role - it IS a factor, and most importantly its one factor we can exercise a measure of control over.
Its quite clear that when there is false comm's out there saying "
OBJ Sux, its a dog, don't touch it" - then at very VERY least it
"Doesn't help" - and at the worst, it could cause selling out and stand-offs. Either way, that's bad for every person reading this, bad for every potential investor, bad for me, and its bad for you. We all loose.
The CEO has indirectly given us a hidden request with his HC references, which I reasonably interpreted as,
"we need your help, we want big investors, so please don't trash us, its hurting our ability to deliver for us, and for you". You don't have to agree with it, many will call it BS all day, and on some levels I would agree with just that - but if its one thing we can actually do, that maybe, just MAYBE might help, even in some way, why wouldn't we do so?
Again we want the same thing - OBJ to perform, talking it down as worthless to the world can not possibly help that cause. The core message was about thinking before acting. We cant let fear, frustration and anger blind-sight us. Making a hasty "
I'm venting bitc#hes!!! Lets go!!!" style communication that slags everyone and everything off doesn't do anyone any good.
Many people mistakenly think that a good vent, and good rant directed hard at the board, trashing the company, trashing its ability, and trashing its future will make things change by awareness. I wish it did, but there has been 5+ years of it, and look at where we are now. It clearly doesn't work , nor help --> 2.7c not helping.
The only people who have gained anything are the trolls, who are happily getting a pat on the back, albeit with their other sticky hand, from their mum's basement, while eating a hot pocket and playing wow on the other screen - a few will get that reference
Its again very clear that if we want to restore the SP to fair levels, we have a part to play in the grand scheme of things, by adjusting our attitudes. The communities defacto strategy of "Hulk not happy .... Hulk-Smash!!! " is doing more harm than good.
None of this is to imply that concerns, even the most serious ones, cant be openly raised or discussed. They should be, albeit MUST be, but people should consider just how they present those concerns so as not to shoot themselves and everyone else in the foot.
I mean if you are a holder and hastily rant over and over "
CR Coming, CR coming!!", with no shred of evidence, based on a fearful gut feeling, and you do it repeatedly 10 times a day, then you have no right to complain about your investment if people bail out and drop the share price as a result. It makes you part of the problem and a not part the solution. Again - we all loose, or at best, we certainly can not gain from that kind of attitude.
My answer to that scenario - should I feel a CR is be coming, I personally would recognise the possibly negative implication for my investment first, contact the board for comment, research and establish some facts of its likelihood, before taking it public if at all. If I did need to do so, I'd now do it with more finesse such as "
I have spoken to the board regarding my concerns of a possible CR, and here is my determination... ". if that determination was so bad as to create a need to sell, then so be it - declaring that is fine, as it is legitimized and justifiable that the board has questions to answer for .... but I wouldn't outright blast the internet with "
OMG, im getting out fast - i think we are geting a F'kn CR! b#tches!" based on the colour of a tarrot card ..... that just doesn't help ANYONE, and its exactly what Steve is eluding to.
Here was the most important thing I was trying to say:
You have a vested interested in seeing OBJ perform. You want the SP to rise.
I have vested interested in seeing OBJ Perform. I want the SP to rise.
We have a vested interested in seeing OBJ perform. We want the SP to rise.
So arguing between ourselves is outright stupid - We want the same damn thing.
So again the final core message I'm trying to get across here is that - as a community, when we communicate - At the core level of our message we should consider
:
Will our communication hurt our own investments and hinder other potential investors?
I.e - by communicating something, are we going to simultaneously shoot ourselves in the foot? is there a better way to communicate our concerns and frustrations in a way which has less risk to the share price
? For example is there a better, more informed, and credible way for 20 people to say
" ABCD shareprice is down 10c cents again today - This fc#king board is sh#t, i'm getting out before stock is dead in 2 months" ... yes there are much MUCH better ways to communicate than this.
All the stock market is a stage, we all have our parts to play in it.
