There are around 1500 stocks listed on the asx, and most traders use X-Div software to let them know the dead-lines.
I would prefer that there was no ramp up towards a Div payment, so there is less of a retrace but if you are long does it really matter ?
Some times the selling is done before X-div and the stock does hold it's ground, so it will be interesting to see how we fair.
VPG is small enough to be seen as a take over target, and has well diversified assets which makes them even more attractive.
They are being bought buy over seas and local fund managers who have a longer term view.
