Yes reasonably close to the industry and closer to the real players than even they know!

PACT sounded out an IPO some time ago and backed away. Unless it makes money for the owners it will not go ahead.

PPG can be a B$ business but it will stay in the consumable areana not rigid plastics which is where the PACT group lives.

    PACT dont need cash!

PACT are looking at US opportunities.

PACT is run by Ruffy who married a Pratt. They like to stay private so I doubt that Ruffy would want his business to have the scrutiny that a Public company has.

Cash is cheap with interest rates so low so funding growth for PACT isnt not an issue.

Having said all of that, never say never, however unless Ruffy can make money in the transaction, he keeps his affairs private the likely hood is that it will not happen.

PACT has pretty much cornered the Rigid plastic market in Australia and NZ (hence the need to divest NCI stake) The only real sizeable rigid plastic businesses left are Amcors closures and Visy's PET. Visy Bought the HP Plastic's business from liquidators and Amcor are not investing in their closures business. PPG could potentially buy these businesses. In the background is Hart's Graham packaging which he needs exit soon.

    Who know's what will happen.
