I rarely disagree with your analysis, but in this case I beg to differ. Why would we be playing catch up to London where only 46k traded last night (and not very large volume all week)?? This move this morning has all the hallmarks of big buyers coming in. My guess (and its just that) is that perhaps institutions - like Intersuisse, and their clients are jumping in before more good news today or early next week. Yesterday's announcement said wireline logs were completed so we might get preliminary results today. As you say its probably too early for any production testing results but wireline logs may give pressures etc from which inferences can be made (by those with O&G knowledge).

In any case HDR is bound to edge up over the next few weeks as fundies buy in (given that its in the ASX S&P 200 and moving up the ranks !!).
