My understanding of U.S. LNG is they wont be in a position to export to Japan for quite some time. Earliest export facilities planned for late 2015. So they will have to look elsewhere if they want to use LNG in the short term - like middle east as mentioned.
I cant see them getting through 2014 without nuclear.
