Well yeah but I didn't buy off the Lowys at the top of the market. Didn't even consider it, much like I avoid Private Equity floats like the plague (Dick Smith Electronics, Myer, Link etc.). How low can SCG go? I don't know but I wouldn't have thought too much lower.
Should I have taken (more) profits? Yes probably, especially given I always thought NSW would probably end up where it has. But one can't win on every stock all the time, especially when one has a day job. At a $2.20ish entry I'm comfortable holding this medium term. Within 12-18 months and a few more vaccinations I suspect those who are selling out at $2.40 will probably look back and wish they'd held on.
But yeah, could be a rough 3 months ahead.
