A couple of years ago I lived in Shanghai and I noticed how packed and intense their Shopping Malls (Westfield style) were.
E-commerce over there is ridiculously cheap and you can get anything ordered to your door in just a couple hours... Yet people still want that shopping centre experience and are more than happy to pay for it.
My take away from that is shopping malls in prime locations aren't going anywhere.
