I reckon it could well make that much difference. When you lose a major IT contract not just does the revenue disappear but also you are left with a bench of staff that you have to either carry or pay out. In addition you have an overhead structure built around a revenue stream that needs to be addressed.
I used to hold some, bought around 18c and sold near 30c after 3x1.5c dividends in the one 12 mth period. I knew the divi flow wouldn't last and could see the end of the golden days pretty clearly. In fact if you trawl through these posts a year or so back you'll see pretty much the same sentiments from me then I expect.
I haven't kept up with SNN recently so I may be out of date with my commetns but I do know that the last revenue from that one major government contratc will have dried up over the course of this year whereas last year they would have been rolling like a pig in mud in the cash it was spinning off.
