    hoots, blon, you misunderstand me.

    Hoots said OW need the Cu and Co. They don't NEED it in the sense that they have smelters or furnaces requiring a steady flow of material. You don't just turn that sort of equipment up and down like a thermostat.

    OW are just a middle man for CDU's product. They only want it to justify their (internal) profit forecasts and IRRs.

    If you have a look at some of COW's other investments, you'd realise that $130m is a drop in the ocean to them. Of course they are not intending to waste it; but if it evaporated tomorrow they would hardly notice.

    blon is right, I don't know how this will play out. Nobody does on HC. But some CDU holders need a reality check. CDU will be a minnow in terms of global, or even Australian, Cu production when it starts mining, and it is swimming in the same pond as a pike.
