Buybacks would be reckless.
There is a way to go here and the Thai government has a lot of levers they can begin to pull if they want to be obstructive (but just not too obstructive). Why would they do it? To gain some advantage. The Thais play a long game. We can see that. I fully expect a major Thai owner will need to emerge. It’s not plain sailing despite some of the nonsense peddled here. Inexperienced shareholders should be cautious.
