Frank, the sp reflects market thinking that there is no (or little chance of a) deal with China or anyone. Given that being the case, the sp is unlikely to trend up slowly. It's probably going to behave abruptly on news.
I hope what they do this time is to place the stock in sudden trading halt and make whatever price sensitive announcement of significance.
