Uranium
Cameco announced that first production from its Cigar Lake project in Canada is likely to be further delayed until 2011 – vs its prior projection of 2010. The company spelled out the numerous challenges that it faces in bringing the mine online, highlighting the downside risks to its and other companies’ supply projections. We believe the market has yet to fully acknowledge these risks, which are bullish for uranium prices in both the short and long term.
MRE retain a preference for PDN in the uranium sector.
