It basically trades at whatever people want to sell for, but this is usually only just above what the last line was on the sell list...gotta remember all those profit takers who want an early exit. Aside from that though, you can ask whatever you want to sell for. Wouldn't it be cool if no one wanted to sell their shares because they believed so much in the long term prospects of this company - fastest way to make a share price rise.
