Most of us have to buy a new phone every now and again.

I've finally had to buy a 'smart phone', only so that I can use it as a "wifi hotspot".

    Save a further $30 a month.

At one stage with Telstra, 'phone + internet was $150 per month.

Unlimited talk and text, and 8 gig of internet.

Now, unlimited talk and text + 10 gig. of data, (pre-paid), only $36.90 per month.

Even cheaper if you pay 3 or 12 months up front.

Can use data on phone, but bought especially for use on computer.

Hard trying to find a phone that I wanted, as the majority are locked in to a network,

and Telstra especially, charge a fortune to 'unlock' the phone. $80 I think ??

Found an online 'unlocking' company, and was a bit dubious as to how good/honest they were.

But, brilliant, all done, phone ready to use in under 5 minutes, for only a touch over $16

Can still use my 2 old phones when travelling, as they both accept the same aerial jack,

and use the same battery. Aerial gives over 30 km. of extra range/coverage.
