checking gold assay could mean,

the companies standards came back at an unacceptable level either below/above the stated std grade,

sample came back with lower than expected gold values, so idc want to re assay these and see/hope they get something better.

gold values could be extremely high and need to be double check before release,

duplicates/splits grade could vary widely if it is nuggety gold.

or something else
