Just speculating here on this issue.

What are we to make of the buying activity a few weeks ago by the two major shareholders ?
At one stage it was suggested that they were trying to make sure that they had plenty of votes available for the AGM.
Another suggestion was that they recognised that to ward off any takeover bid they should have an even bigger stake in the company.
A further suggestion was that they were just getting in to take advantage of the low share price around 20 cents when they would know how much cash they had in the kitty and therefore that the shares were a lot more than the market was paying for them.

But I wonder ? What if the current buying activity is someone (eg AWE) getting a significant stake in the company prior to launching a bid.
What if the two major shareholders got to know of AWE's intentions (if it is AWE). So they decided to increase their shareholding substantially before AWE or whoever actually got to acting.
What sort of timespan would have to elapse between share purchases and a bid being launched before it could be deemed as an example of insider trading ???
It would certainly look a bit suspect if it turned out to be AWE taking a stake and possibly leading to a takeover ???

    Just speculation of course.
    Any comments or thoughts ?
