Maxy, if you are inexperienced....or even experienced...I say avoid the open like the plague.
Wait till the dust settles, see what direction is emerging (up or down), see if certain levels will be re-tested etc.
If a stock is to fall 30-odd cents (each has an average daily range) it's not unusual to open, go slightly higher quickly to trap the unwary and to have a higher base from which to short...then begin the grind down.
The opposite can happen on an up day.
