    Apart from the fact that I wouldn't buy bitcoin, I'd buy other , preferably 3rd generation coins, the part of this whole scenario that disturbs me is that
    1. there is no common value across the different exchanges, they can set buy and sell prices randomly
    2 the storage thing is a nightmare and , to my old orderly mind, chaotic, seeing as this is supposed to be cutting edge stuff
    3 the backing or originators of these coins are private people/entities so you are enriching them , some outrageously.
    4. how do you sell them and convert into regular currency, every explanation I have read seems to be a very convoluted process, very cutting edge.
    5 no guarantees these exchanges are going to survive and be able to return your hard earned.

    Having said all that I believe blockchain or distributed ledger technology in the next leat forward.
    now just need to get the basics in a secure format, so you can at least be sure of getting some or all your money back. IMO
