Exc buying Steve. This mkt keeps throwing up opportunities created by funds borrowing vast amounts of shares, short selling the SP into the ground, buying for their on (long) funds, while closing out their shorts and returning the shares to dumbo index-only superannuation funds with Mum and Dad investors. Went from 9.62 (pre-result) to 11.62 then smashed back down to 9.32. The stk is still ex div, the same HY result as a fortnight ago etc. If anything today's news from Westpac is a bonus. Crazy volatility keeps us on our toes, but boy it sure provides some decent entry points... long and short.
