If your going with a bigger builder try to stick to the original design as much as possible, changes seem to cause countless numbers of problems.

The contractors seem to be better at building the same thing over and over, when changes are made to the plan it seems to mess them up.

Haven't built myself but just an observation from seeing a lot of friends build.


If you do make changes to the plan check everything three times before you sign off on it, it costs a lot to change it mid build.
