How much of your portfolio are you sticking into gold? And what is the purpose?
I hold EVN purely for a diversification benefit as it surges when markets are down (as demonstrated lately).
I notice that you are basing your investment decision (at least partially) on gold not having hit the USD ATH. I'm not sure how much training you've had in finance/economics but in behavioural economics we call this investment heuristic "anchoring bias" and is one of the best ways to lose money.
In my opinion, if China and US sort out their trade issues gold price will absolutely plummet. Since I hold EVN as a diversification tool this doesn't bother me in the slightest.
My point being, make sure you have a clear strategy for holding gold stocks and make sure you try not to base your investment decisions on historical gold prices.
