Perhaps it is my engineering background that pushes me to overanalyse in finance, in order to achieve perfection; not sure. I may overanalyse, however, it is all relative to my peers. I like to formulate solutions based on all possible variables, thus leading to the optimum decision according to all variable inputs.

From an investing standpoint, I believe gold equities is the place to be for the foreseeable future as gold stands to benefit significantly from the only possible future scenarios that I can see:

1. Governments cut rates to zero/negative, move to MMT, and embrace a universal basic income to stimulate growth.

2. Governments do nothing, bank bail-ins occur, businesses go under, and the entire global economy descends into a great depression for a very long time.

No matter which scenario you choose, either 1 or 2 above, gold will benefit. So my "over analysis" here has resulted in the best asset being selected for investment, over the long term, and in my opinion of course.
