you need to study up on the history of it, lose the confirmation bias that the majority of people trading and investing in shares have with gold and realise that when gold does have its time in the sun it’s just about the only place to be. This doesn’t happen all that often. But when it does it outperforms everything else, bar real estate which can also do well during times like this on a par depending on where you look.

safest data sets are over the longest time frames and gold is one of the longest sets of data you can look at and measure everything by.

cash is almost guaranteed to lose value over the short and long run as we all now race to the bottom

interest rates are going down and likely negative futures say so out to 2020 and beyond

ecb just issued a statement stating they have no interest in selling any large chunks of gold to anybody tearing up an agreement that’s been in place for 20 something years.

we’re watching a potential changing of empires right now which may still remain the status quo, but that will involve the USA invoking an at least partial gold backed dollar. Just the cycle that’s been going on since Jesus.

Gold passed some very key technical indicators some time back broke out of a multi year cup and handle everyone is looking at it. This was long before the trade war was in full swing, and actually looked like getting resolved up until very recently.

if you follow trump and know anything about him a trump all you’ll know apmex is situated in trump tower and he made a big deal about it a few years back. He’s done interviews right before his election stating he wants a gold standard, his fed board majority favours an at least partial gold standard. One of his first tasks in office was to audit the gold reserves which has just been completed hadn’t been done in 30 something years.

He hung Andrew Jackson on his wall in the Oval Office one of the first things he did. Look up exactly who that is, and what he stood for. Judy Shelton Herman Cain You stocks guys talk about techical and fundamental analysis all the time, but often fail to see it when it’s right in front of your face. There’s an obvious pattern of behaviour here and I’m simply amazed that there is People in this space at all that done know these things.

Don’t worry about Trump as he’s busy making America Great again. He plays a long game, 4d chess.
Look behind the tweets as they are often distractions, while he deals from the a loaded deck. The Left see him as a fool. I don’t. He’s busy stacking the fed and he knows that the only way to save the dollar is gold not guns. IMHO
