The law has no logic unfortunately and not going into detail of payment distribution / import. Product is not registered for advertising or sale by TGA in Australia. yep can be manufactured here as we do with many products not sold here as they are designed or meet a standard in another country. It is all about TGA codes ingredients and approvals.

I am sure Firebrick will manufacture wherever it is most efficient to do so in terms of logistics, distribution, marketing benefits, currency risk , insurance , now tariff risk and costs. Obviously USA and Australia have a very good reputation for quality manufacture . It is not their firs rodeo and I am sure they are well advised.

Different countries have different rules/ guidelines in regards to " made in" or country of origin and enforce them differently if they are food or medical or farm machinery and packaging must comply with country it has marketing / packaging distribution approval. Some are value based on $ or % or process or only cover ingredient not contribution to cost of packaging etc.
"Made in Australia" for a product unfortunately is a bit wishy washy in regards to general public knowledge as it just means last step of manufacture was in Australia for contents but could actually means it is exported in bulk and packaged in another country - it is a mixed bag for unapproved / regulated products .
