My understanding (correct me if I'm wrong) is that "franchisee support" is something that can at least partially be counted as a "marketing cost".
Going from memory this is in some of the fine print in Annual Reports and has been questioned by some observers as to legitimacy.
Although all books are audited and HVN has been thoroughly looked into by authorities, accountants and lawyers for decades with no breach of rules being proven.
