At any rate , the whole country is aware of how important mining is to improving their way of life and will do anything to keep investment capital flowing into the country, no matter who's in control. They have seen the benefits of mining in Ghana and Mali and want a piece of the action also. It would be futile for them to try and do anything stupid like nationising or increasing taxes, as the mining industry is still in its infancy .
