    There's a thread from a while back called "profit taking" that covers a lot of things to think about when a high growth stock pulls back and retraces. It's really useful for holders compared to most other threads and there's a lot of different opinions on there not just so called "up and down rampers" doing battle.     I mentioned it a few times on that thread, but I've done a research paper on selling discipline and how to think about it that I'm happy to share with anyone who wants to get in touch - contact details in sig block below. It doesn't mean that you'll be convinced to sell the stock, it's just a look at different ideas about how to lock in gains, protect against losses, win from your decisions when you're right etc. I've used the framework myself to good effect multiple times, most recently in XRO and APT
