The latest presentation includes the numbers and types of Westnet customers. Of particular interest is the large number of "off-net" customers that Westnet have (ie. Westnet mainly resells Telstra services). Once IIN begins migrating these customers off Telstra's infrastructure and on to their own, the uplift in revenue/profit will be quite significant.
It is not improbable that a full takeover bid is in the wings. Currently AMM and Powertel (aka Telecom NZ/AAPT) have significant stakes, either one of them may wish to move to full ownership and tidy up the sector. Hopefully AMM, as TNZ have killed most of the Australian companies they've bought out.
