In fact, besides silver, do you know the ASX also have other metals, here are the codes:

Metal Commodities
GOLD Gold Bullion
ETPMAG Silver
ETPMPD Palladium
ETPMPT Platinum

But beside these metals (ie. commodities indices), I found that you can also buy stock indices. That is you buy into an index like the China index, the Emerging Markets index and much more. I have made a list at:
