buying silver, page-2

I buy silver in kilogram bars and store them in a safety deposit box in a bank vault.

The spread on kilo bars is $1.71 per ounce today.

Not great but what do you do?

Fashioning costs for smaller sizes makes it expensive to buy in less than kilo bars.

I have a couple of boxes of 100 1oz coins but don't know the buy back price but it's not a concern - my silver is held for the long haul. I doubt that I'd sell at $100 per ounce.
