Hate to dampen things but if US gdp shows a strong rise as predicted then the US$ will rally hard and US$gold will drop. Also almost everything else that has gone up as the dollar has dropped will go south (just so it doesn't feel personal :) )
Short and med. term this may look ugly but present excellent buying opportunities if you get the timing right.
Sorry all, but this will put the beloved fml under pressure along with all else (except US$).
