some people seem to trade without being aware of trading patterns for the day, or maybe they are too impatient?

Looks like a broker has a largish order and the bot will just keep on picking then up around current levels. Yesterday and today, it was buying at up to 60 cents but if someone dopey wants to sell at 59, it is more than happy to pick them up, but is only doing so slowly. I bet they could have sold for 59.5 as you say. I would put my money on incompetence rather than some sinister plan though.

I'm happy to see this bot at work though because someone is loading up big, although very patiently. That type of buying benefits from poor trading on the other side and impatient sellers.
