    Actually I'm pretty sure Howard government had a agreement in place with a conglomerate consisting of optus,elders and Ammcom which was aimed at getting the internet where it was needed "the bush" it was pretty much ready to roll and one of the first things Rudd govt did was to scrap the deal.I think its likely that many households in remote areas still waiting for broadband,would have had it by now if it wasnt for that little bit of chicanery.
