4. Abbott's stated intention is a virtual return to the Howard era - an attempt to create a future in the context of Howard's profligate past.

Abbott's declarations re HIS paid parental scheme, HIS intention to scrap the CT/ETS and MRRT, HIS baby bonus, HIS reservations about the funding of public schools etc. represent a Howard style approach to the creation of a great big nanny profligate nanny state at the expense of public investment in productive infrastructure and people skilling.

Malcolm Tunrbull has courageously demonstrated again today that he does not suffer from such stupidity. He knows what's required for our future and mainstream Australians know that he knows!
