Yeh. The SUGI FEW funding seems to be a way to get collaborative research across not just Europe and the UK but also into the US.

Brexit absolutely screwed up collaborative research between the UK and Europe for a while because of no access to EU grants fundings.

This research is really interesting though I think, as noted , tehre are some shortcomings.
