    metals are up about 2-4% over the last week or so
    copper is up significantly to almost a 4 month high $3.74
    dow futures are up 84 points
    asx was up

    also avb specific....

    results/ann expected any time now/soon
    advanced negotiations due any time soon
    JORC due soon
    good buying and vwap starting to happen

    just some of the reasons for the "positive mood" i guess
