Whether people have made or lost money on BBI/BEPPA, I reckon some valuable lessons have been learnt. Most would agree that following these BBI threads for the last 12 months has taught much much more than if someone had bought a blue chip portfolio consisting of banks, Telstra and Woolies etc and just sat on them.
Hopefully, the lessons learnt will pave the way for people to be a lot smarter in their future investments. I know I learnt one very good lesson. "Listen to the market" when it is obvious the market knows something not publicly released. I chose to ignore the sustained BEPPA buying and sold into it. It cost me dollars but it's a lesson learnt. Given the same situation in the future in another stock, I would at least keep 50% of my holding.
