Summary of what was heard on Byford site

During Byford build photos and/or videos were posted by Youngdawg, Herewegoagain1, Investor1965, Storm_Chasor, Noeliam, rbc808, madjamo, k31th, MrLamby, Gracesteel11.

What info did people hear on site?

Rbc808 told us that on Sept 1 FBR started a build at Byford on the corner of Balawarra & Kardan. Bdawg says it’s about 40km south of Perth. Built in wind, rain and hail. Mr Lamby even got a photo of HX working after dark. Gracesteel11 lives around the corner from the site and gave daily updates.

K31th (3/9/20) inspected the walls and found that shadowing in photos that looked like potential misalignment was deceptive as the walls were fine. “The FBR team have done a great job.”

Noeliam went to Byford (5/9/20) and recognised a faster laying speed than at Dayton. Watched HX for an hour and wrote “I love it when the Hadrian reaches a corner and cuts a brick to exactly the required size and lays it down with precision.” An FBR employee told Noeliam a traditional build would have taken at least 3 weeks in good weather and bricklayers wouldn’t have worked in the rain encountered on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Ankhenaten2 (6/9/20) spoke with Mike Pivac (or maybe this info was on video?) and found that the Byford build was scheduled to be done manually and the builders decided last minute to go with FBR.

Madjamo (6/9/20) spoke with Mark and Mike, who said they’re working towards a one metre width block for a faster build. Also mention of some standardised house sizes not requiring brick cutting. Dust said to be an issue, but not critical.

ChrisWebb89 travelled from outside WA to the site on 7/9/20, the same day Investor1965 went there. Investor1965 posted photos of HX working on site. However, HX is so unobtrusive and has such a small footprint that ChrisWebb failed to notice HX at all, even insisting it was not on site.

Investor1965 chatted with a guy from Archistruct, who was very impressed and wants to see more HXs and believes that’s the future. One of his plasterers wished all sites were as clean. On seeing HX in action a security guard said "it's unbelievable, it's mesmerizing watching it work".

On 8/9/20 Big ev had a 15min chat with Mike (aka Jesus). Learned that interested builders are lining up. A couple of landscapers in the area were blown away by seeing HX in action.
