In other political systems - it's different. Sometimes, there's a 'selected' PM in republics ------- that person is like a submarine too - also in a shit farm

but, they get to work often on the surface - still in the shit, still doing the shit work - for the Pres - AND, they are disposable

when they've done so much and all their filters are clogged, their hair grey and their political capital spent - they get replaced.

in the USA - the poor old VP is stuck for the duration - hidden under the surface - keeping as much stuff off the President's desk as possible - burning their own political capital in the dark - trying to dance an internal dance so complicated as they burn down to the wick - because at the end - they get their reward if they are lucky and still have a heartbeat - the prize is a try at the big gig
