Cadence will retry to list the CDO fund again. The performance of this unlisted frozen fund has been stellar with a 59%pa return ex TMC valuation but including divs since Jan 2019. A special dividend of 15c was just declared which equates to a yield of roughly 8% gross.
I have added as much as I could on one occasion and plan to add for the IPO retry. CDO has a short-term diverse multi-region strategy with shorting and it seems to be working in the current investing climate as Karl stated would work at the previous IPO try. The outperformance during the March 2020 selloff is notable which was double that of the benchmark.
IMO, Cadence Capital and Cadence Opportunities have been a turnaround story. I do hope that TMC does not become the next Melbourne IT.
