My background is in telecommunications products. We sold all around the world through distributors etc. Plenty of people wanted our product in countries like Burma (at the time) but whenever we did our checks there was no way that they were going to find hard currency to pay for the gear.

A listed company a few years ago in the same sort of field went bust because they sold a wireless sytem into Russia and they were never paid for it. Can't remember the name.

I'm not saying that this isn't a real deal that could be profitable just pointing out that getting real money out of these people may be very difficult as they have little. The only exception tends to be the military.

It would be much better so see deals in countries around the area that have money like Thailand.
