They have to haul the ore 80+ kms to WGP, so never going to be a low AISC operation. Two separate mining operations, camps etc. is not a cheap way to mine. One large single open pit is.
The concern also is not production run rates, but more margin. Plenty of miners have high production rates but barely make any money (e.g. WGX).
