ConocoPhillips would have to unwind the sale to WPL if Far pre-empted.
Article is simply saying that WPL could negotiate with FAR to not pre-empt by offering compensation for not doing a proper sale and offering rights correctly to FAR in the first instance. COP have nothing to lose by unwinding a sale, WPL do.
WPL could just go along with the unwinding of the sale also but miss out on value created since.
No ConocoPhillips would have to unwind the sale to WPL if Far...
