Puntland is going to be a breeze compared to what Cairn is taking on. I would rather face a few pirates than go head to head with Greenpeace and current environmental feelings. Puntland has great topography for oil exploration and most importantly is on Terra firma. It proves what great lengths these big oil companies will go to for the next big find. However, it makes me wonder how a little company like Range managed to bag 20% (free carry) on one of the most exciting drills of the last decade and has been described as the last frontier of possible Elephant proportions. The media will love the Puntland story once we spud. There will be huge amounts of coverage with lots of the oil media. Hopefully Texas will have fully underpinned a 10p SP, with Smith and RB1 moving toward some great P1 figures. Lots of fun to come. Ts
