WHEAT - sell on any decent rally (probably this US freeze/Russia drought one), many irrigatable, high production potential acres are going to be won from corn, sugar and cotton all around the world. Sugar can't recover quickly with $50 oil. Cotton will be sold down by the global puppeteers to keep food productive crops in favour. Noodle wheat the dark horse.

BARLEY - supply deficits in malt markets need to be solved by favourable weather globally in 2015 or else things go crazy. Beer consumption ain't going down when everyone is trying to escape economic reality. Feed spread could collapse as China moves on GM corn it previously wouldn't touch.

OILSEEDS - the dark horses for 2015. Big cereal plants are going to be encouraged by attractive wheat, barley and oats prices. Poor ol oilseeds looking like the losers on the acres battle in major possible cereal belts. Brazil soy output is to be challenged by next 2 weeks of dry weather. A second major dumping of monsoonal flood rain in Malaysia tomorrow and next day will further cripple output from the number 2 in palm oil in 2015. Canola will be the big winner as it responds most to rallies in oil rich (ie palm) rather than protein rich oilseeds (eg soybeans). Me wouldn't be dropping canola acres!

MINOR CROPS - Oats. The secret is out in Asia! Oats is a superfood and porridge is back. Not to mention all the oaten blends now popping up everywhere globally. Oats is $5 off feed barley prices in WA today. Oats as a human consumptive and superfood is destined for a miraculous rise in consumption curves. Williams oats is a new milling variety yielding 20% more than any other variety ever produced in Australia. It is a winner!

NON OILSEED LEGUME CROPS - one more year of deficit building and reduced plantings globally plus cheap nitrogen in the bag and we head to the moon with all the human consumptives like peas, beans, lentils and chickpeas. Lupins could be a real dark horse now India accepts whole grain imports. Bulk up your seed supplies ready for options to plant in 2016.
