ok guys, this is more definitive. we have some geos posting.. wonder why they didnt resolve this issue. basically the soil or in-calcrete results are expressed in ppm. this does not mean it is the same for the rock chips. if the rock chip assays come through, especially for the visible Cu and Ni samples, we are sure to get high % values.
some posters confused the ppm results to mean rock chip results - thats incorrect.
so dont get confused. use the following sentence from another explorers ann to understand why ppm was used in todays ann. this example should clear things up:
'Soil values up to 196 ppm copper at the extreme east end of the infill grid, in conjunction with rock chip assays up to 2% Cu and 8.2 g/t Ag in the same area, indicate a second zone of mineralization may be present...'
