Software development and maintenance is far more capital intence than we tend to believe. The name of the game is market share then market domination. At this stage we don't have market domination.
Warren buffet only recently bought into apple. My bet is that he realised the market domination of Apple over others.
Freelancer is all potential, but no proof.
