My response would be that I would not aid a shorter by selling my own holding in panic. I would reserve the right to pick up shares dropped from weaker hands. I would not take part in a GME NYSE type defense because eventually bag holders would suffer.
There are head winds in the REIT sector but my conviction is that current SPs derisk those head winds somewhat.
