Rio have recently picked up an 8% stake in the Casino project in Canada's Yukon.
Larger scale but lower gold grades and slightly higher Cu than Calibre.
This is part of a trend to lower grade deposits world wide.
Will they make it to mines? Some wealthy, savvy folks are putting their precious dosh and reputations on the line. There will be major challenges and some projects will fail, though the reasons may be unexpected and not necessarily related to grade.
The ESG component is a rapidly evolving component of mining that will have to be factored in.
