I have sent some feedback/query to National Map after doing some more research on what appear to be "time warp" situations.

Still working on the "conundrum" with an interim suspicion that these "NEW" areas are in fact early drilling (pre-~2017) with contemporary images.


There doesn't appear to be any date on the National Map images so the presence or absence of announced drilling should give some clue as to age - trusty geo principle.

I do NOT see Winu drilling; or any 2020/19 Calibre drilling strongly suggesting the base imagery is pre-2018/7.

On Sentinel I do see Winu and Calibre drilling mentioned above but I do not see the drill sites you highlighted or the ones I mentioned to the NW (N1) - as blatant recent drill pads as they appear on National Map.

Calibre and NW Calibre showing recent drilling but Not the N1 area near ?corker - This may have been drilling following up 2016/7 IP targets - will check.



I looked another area in the wheat belt of WA with similar discrepancies of imagery. Lends support to the suspicion above.

Keep on learning with Sentinel/GE/National Map and probably others. If nothing else it will help the grey matter stay active - too active a lot of the time for me with lots of expletives that would get me moderated......

Apologies if I got anyone's hopes up. Probably not 2021 activity on National Map beta.
Would have been good but surprising something happened during the hot season - tempered by a lot of rain this year making such activity even less likely. May have kept the flies down for a few hours....
